Dafy : A quel âge as-tu obtenu ton permis moto et en combien de tentative ?
Thierry : J’ai eu mon permis A il y a 10 ans, du premier coup. Je n’avais jamais conduit de 2 roues auparavant car mes parents trouvaient cela trop dangereux. Du coup, j’ai pris une quinzaine d’heures de plateau avant de me sentir à l’aise avec la moto-école (Yamaha FZ6N).
Dafy : Quelle a été ta première moto ?
Thierry : J’ai commencé par une Kawasaki Ninja 250r de 33cv. Il y a quelques années, les jeunes motards étaient limités à 34cv.
Dafy : Conducteur des villes ou conducteur des champs ?
Thierry : J’aime conduire sur routes sinueuses. La vitesse ne m’intéresse que moyennement. Ce que je recherche, ce sont les beaux paysages et les routes un peu techniques. Passer sur des chemins étroits avec un bitume un peu abîmé ne me dérange pas du tout. Sinon, au boulot, j’essaie de passer par tous types de routes, histoire que mes futurs motards se fassent des expériences variées.
Dafy : Quelle est la destination de tes rêves ?
Thierry : La Corse est une destination qui me plairait énormément dans un premier temps. Ensuite, faire le tour des différentes régions du monde où il y a de belles routes de montagne (mais avec une moto plus adaptée que la mienne 😉 ).
Dafy : Quand as-tu pris le plus de plaisir au guidon de ta machine ?
Thierry : Il y a quelques années, j’étais parti en vacances dans le Sud de la France. J’ai mis une bonne dizaine d’heures à rejoindre ma destination en passant par les Alpes. J’ai passé de superbes vacances à dormir en toile de tente et « vivre » à moto le long de la Côte d’Azur. Mon premier long voyage à moto !
Dafy : Raconte-nous une anecdote que tu as vécu en moto ?
Thierry : Lors de ce voyage dans le Sud, j’ai souhaité visiter Monaco…un dimanche…avec un réservoir presque vide ! J’ai passé un temps fou à trouver une station de carburant en pensant que j’allais devoir pousser la bécane dans les rues de Monaco. J’ai finalement pu faire le plein, mais exténué par le stress, j’ai fait demi-tour et suis retourné à mon camping. Je n’ai pas vu grand chose de Monaco…
Dafy : Quelle a été ta plus grosse frayeur à moto ?
Thierry : J’avais le permis A depuis peu. Mon meilleur ami s’était acheté une 125 car aucune formation n’était obligatoire à l’époque. Nous étions en balade en mode arsouille (de débutants). Mon pote a raté sa trajectoire sur un virage à droite. Il est allé écraser sa moto contre la rambarde en béton séparant les deux sens de circulation, il a été projeté par dessus; atterrissant sur l’autre voie. Voyant cela, j’ai eu un très mauvais réflexe : je me suis crispé sur mon levier de frein, et ma roue avant a décroché…je suis parti en glissade. Mais ce jour-là, ce n’est pas pour moi ou mon passager (mon petit frère) que j’ai eu peur, mais bel et bien pour mon ami. Heureusement, plus de peur que de mal !
Dafy : Ton équipement préféré ?
Thierry : Je préfère les vêtements moto textile. Ils sont généralement plus légers et plus aérés que les cuirs. Ils sont peut-être moins résistants dans le temps mais coûtent carrément moins cher. Mon premier blouson, acheté il y a environ 10 ans, me sert encore de blouson de travail.
Dafy : Comment te définirais-tu au guidon de ta moto ?
Thierry : Au travail, j’essaie de faire en sorte que mes élèves prennent du plaisir au guidon, tout en essayant de les aider à progresser. Du côté personnel, je prends du plaisir à rouler par trop éloigné des limitations de vitesse. Pour moi, les virages techniques sont plus amusants que les longues courbes rapides.
Dafy : Ta devise en moto ?
Thierry : Un bon motard est un motard qui vivra longtemps.
Dafy : Quel motard seras-tu dans 10 ans ?
Thierry : Le même qu’aujourd’hui !
Dafy : Un petit conseil pour la route ?
