Premiers pas sur les salons de deux-roues
Avant même d’avoir la renommée pour pouvoir sponsoriser la moindre équipe, ou un quelconque évènement, il a fallu que Dafy Moto se fasse connaître. Alors quoi de mieux à l’époque que de se rendre sur des salons ? Appréhender le marché et ses acteurs, faire quelques ventes, conseiller les premiers clients curieux… C’est encore notre fondateur qui en parle le mieux : « A l’époque, les moyens n’étaient pas les mêmes, je n’avais qu’un petit stand, avec seulement quelques articles à vendre… Des premiers salons sur lesquels je me suis rendu, je me souviens surtout du mal aux pieds que j’avais en fin de journée ! » (rires).
Et devinez quoi ? Des années plus tard, rien n’a changé… Ou presque ! Les équipes se plaignent toujours du même mal ; il est vrai qu’à raison de plusieurs kilomètres parcourus par jour, à piétiner à travers les allées, rien de surprenant. Dans tous les cas, rien de traumatisant visiblement, puisque chaque année, nos collaborateurs semblent être toujours aussi impatients de venir à votre rencontre. La seule chose qui a changé par rapport aux débuts, c’est l’envergure de la présence de la marque Dafy Moto. Notre dernier article, Retour sur le Salon du 2 roues de Lyon, en est le parfait exemple.
A l’époque ou aujourd’hui, le but premier est de venir au plus près des motards, pour être à l’écoute quant à vos besoins et vos attentes. Une proximité, complémentaire à celle déjà appuyée de nos 200 points de vente, bien importante pour mesurer la fidélité de notre clientèle, des années après nos débuts. Depuis près de 30 ans, l’enseigne auvergnate est donc présente chaque année au salon de Lyon, mais se rend aussi à l’EICMA de Milan, en tant que simple observateur, afin de rester en phase avec toutes les nouveautés du marché.
Sur les circuits, de la France vers la Belgique
Quelques années plus tard, en plus des salons, Dafy Moto participe aux circuits moto et assoie sa présence sur les grands rendez-vous du calendrier : GP de France, Bol d’Or, 24H du Mans… La liste s’allonge d’année en année ! D’abord sous forme de sponsoring pilote, notamment en endurance, l’enseigne essaie par la suite de couvrir toutes les disciplines, pour être au plus proche de ses clients, au travers d’une boutique éphémère, qu’elle déplace de course en course. Les premiers temps avec une simple structure, Dafy Moto s’attache désormais à se professionnaliser d’avantage.
En effet, ce ne sont pas moins de deux semi-remorques de marchandise, des cellules de vente plus spacieuses, organisées par univers, et une équipe de plus de 10 personnes, qui se déplacent !
